Spent the day painting and an enjoyable evening with friends, I had written off the run but was feeling huge guilt over missing yesterday and eating a horde of gummy worms (very good until my son announces "Mommy, we have worms dont we?") my tummy was feeling a bit in need of a run.  It was a dark and stormy night when we arrived home, so I donned my gear and hit the treadmill. Didnt want to risk being part of a cliche mystery novel- or just getting lost and wet....so dreadmill proved it's worth again. 2 miles felt great, 20 minutes even. So glad I got the umph to hit it before bed. A little Yoga to relax for bed and I was out like a light.

Another round of painting and an exciting visit from Cody's little sister- she's getting married in 3 months! I can't believe it, she was 13 when Cody and I were married....Anyway, events threatened to crowd out yet another run (I think my priorities get a little skewed when I am doing home improvements...or really doing anything else...) But Cody was kind enough to remind me when I had 20 minutes of daylight remaining and I heeded his advice. I felt slow and tired, but good to get out and watch the sunset. One odd occurrence- I had a bird (looked like a robin) chase me like it was a dog. Hopped right at me across someone's yard. I almost expected it to bark. I must have had some lingering worms from yesterday...mmm yeah, doesnt sound so tasty anymore.

Silly me, I dropped a very large, very wooden, very tall piece of furniture on my foot. Darn, took the feet for a run today and hurt the entire way, but at least I got something in! A big blah on my running for this week. On the bright side, I got to come down to Salt Lake and see my little sis graduate high school. Great times with family.

time unknown.

I had a learning experience this evening. Running after gulping down frozen yogurt can cause minor cramping and/or a thick coating in the throat. Oh, 2 miles was tough tonight. I feel sad that it is still taking a bit to get my mileage and "umph" back up for running. I love to go, just having a hard time stepping it up. Keep at it....

AARRGGGH! Despite BEST intentions, the run just did not happen today. I have a serious problem getting myself out of bed in the morning. I am out of luck if my afternoon happens to be busy- which today was. Great for me, awful for my running....Ah, tomorrow is another try

Well, 1 so far. MUTINY aboard the Draper jogging stroller. The kiddos just couldnt stand the fresh, cold, humid air. So retreat after .5 miles. Attempt #2 when Cody comes home from work. Stay tuned.

TAKE 2: Well, 2 more. I debated just running 1 more mile, but when I was feeling easy and fine at 10 min mile pace, I took up another mile. Happy news, the second mile marked in at 8 min pace. I rarely go that fast and still survive, so I am pleased. so glad I needed a second try at it today.

Oh, and teeny tiny shout out to Jon and Marci!

Bright and early for my non morning type personality. It has been chilly in the mornings (which is fine with me! Spring can last forever!) and as I was running, I looked down and swore there was snow in the ditch! On second glance- the last one before I passed it by- it was just cotton from all the cottonwood trees. Funny. I must have been thinking it was colder than it really was. 2 lazy miles in the cool morning air, I felt slow and sluggish, but still made it in 20 min. Fun. Now off for a fun filled day at Lagoon for Cody's company picnic. We'll see how it goes with two kids under 3!

Couldnt manage to wrangle myself out of bed ( surprise surprise huh?) so I saddled up the old jogging stroller and got the kids out for a long jog. I averaged 11 min miles and was happy when I managed to pass some stragglers of a teenage girl running group. And then felt silly when a kid on his bike decided to race us, he killed us. I also decided that the sidewalk construction on our side of town really needs to be bumped to the top of some beaureaucrats list. Seriously lacking.

Felt good, but slow with the stroller and two hyper kids. 34 minutes

Went for a spin down the Planet Walk starting at my house and back. I was so grateful for the shade when I finally hit the tree cover. Then I felt shamed by all those st george and equivalent runners.

A quick turn about Willow Park. Felt sluggish and had to consciously maintain a decent form. I wanted to slop all over the road. Good run, passed several other early birds which helped get my pace going again. Glad to get it in and felt good once I got out.

Another 2 miles today walking with MARCI!  What a trooper that girl is. Baby is 5 days old and she is out taking them for a spin.

Roasted up the kids any myself with a quick run around Willow Park. My boy had a meltdown as we passed not one, not two, but three playgrounds! I can just see myself as the tryannical mommy who wont stop and play. Cycle of life I suppose...

Ran two miles with CODY! Yeah, he got sacrificed a little of his swim time to join the kids and I for a morning run. I felt exhausted and tired, but after pushing through the first mile, my muscles rewarded me with a tiny energy burst. I am thrilled as I can be that Cody is on his feet again!

My parents and little sister stayed the night on their way to Montata, so I got up and took advantage of some sitters for my kids. Had to get the run in before they took off at 8, so I decided for 3 miles at 7 am. Felt so good, loved the sun smiling on me and then the shade of the Planet Walk. Felt energized and happy.

Woke up bright and early with the kiddos. I dont know who programmed them as early risers, but it sure wasnt from my contribution. Since I had a whole empty morning to fill with two wired kids, strap em up and put on those mean mommy legs- yep, no stop at the park....AGAIN. I really should take a different route when I take them. Or make sure they are shoeless, then they cant get out and play. I know...mean mommy.

2 miles 20 minutes

Met up with Cody at Bear Lake for a couple hours of swimm....I mean throw mud at mommy and splash in the freezing water. Despite, we had a great time and even splurged for the famous Raspberry shakes. Yum. Although, the yumminess was worn off and the gut poking out was coming on by the time we got home, so Cody geared up and took the kids and I for another 2 mile run. Felt great.

Waited until the evening today. Morning runs I feel tired and sluggish, Evening runs are hard to squeeze in but I feel energized and great Hmm...choices. Kids and Cody and I on the same old route. Some chest pain for the entire run, but I did my best to run through it, first mile slow, second mile decent.

Whew, another day done!

2 miles with Cody. Felt terribly dizzy on set out and stopped at mile 1 while Cody ran down the planet walk and then joined him again when he set out for home.

First mile 10:05 pace

second mile 8:50 pace.

Woke up to hubby long gone (but coming back!) and decided to package up my kids for a run. I started going and felt fresh and energetic so I bypassed my usual turn and took it for a 3.5 instead of 2. Cody surprised us by finding us halfway down the planet walk, really helped me make the last go at it, company loves misery. Or, wait, my misery loves company....anyway, love having him along.
